Jeffrey B. Mulhall has continued the tradition of hands-on involvement that has defined the company since its founding. He assumed leadership in 1992, succeeding his father, William F. Mulhall, who purchased the business in 1943 and laid the foundation for its long-standing reputation in the industry.
Under Jeffrey's direction, the company has evolved beyond its traditional educational focus to serve a broader range of markets, including healthcare, public and academic libraries, multi-family housing, and public and sports seating throughout New York. He also has established a successful partnership for educational and healthcare furnishings in the Middle East based out of Doha, Qatar.
Jeffrey brings a strong legal foundation to his role, having practiced as a Government Contract attorney in Washington, D.C. and New York. This background enhances the company’s expertise in public contract management and reinforces its commitment to integrity, compliance, and lasting client relationships.
Joan Jesberger
Seating Sales Coordinator
Joan Jesberger has been a trusted member of the McHugh team for decades. She oversees all fixed seating projects and brings an exceptional depth of knowledge of Irwin Seating’s extensive product offerings.
Over the course of her career, Joan has built strong, long-standing relationships with architects, construction managers, and educational facilities, earning a reputation for reliability, expertise, and collaboration. Her warm, approachable manner has made her a familiar and welcoming presence for clients and partners alike.

Larry VandeWater
Educational Sales Leader
Larry Vandewater brings over two decades of experience with McHugh Furnishings and a deep-rooted passion for educational environments. His relationship with McHugh began as a client, serving as Principal of South Side Middle School in Rockville Centre, where the school selected Irwin Seating’s Marquee chairs for its auditorium—an experience that made Larry a strong and lasting advocate.
In his role, Larry focuses on promoting and delivering McHugh Furnishings’ product offerings, maintaining trusted relationships with school districts and architectural firms, and supporting the research and coordination of school district building bonds. He also plays a key role in the management of auditorium and fixed seating projects.
Larry's primary passion is Irwin Seating’s premium fixed seating solutions, and he is widely regarded as a leading expert in the market. Known equally for his product knowledge and his good humor, Larry brings both expertise and energy to every client interaction.
Bill Mulhall
NYC Seating Sales Leader / Seating Project Manager
Bill Mulhall has been a dedicated member of the McHugh team for many years, bringing extensive experience across sales, estimating, and project management. He serves as Sales Leader for the New York City market for Irwin Seating products and manages McHugh’s Telescopic Seating Division, as well as Outdoor Bleachers and Fixed Seating projects.
In his role, Bill works closely with architects, construction managers, and clients throughout all phases of a project—from early planning and estimating to coordination of deliveries and on-site installations. He is highly detail-oriented, collaborating with clients to confirm field dimensions and ensuring each project is completed on schedule and in alignment with architectural and client expectations.
Bill is actively involved in tracking school district capital bond improvements, participating in school trade shows, and attending on-site project management meetings to maintain a hands-on presence. To stay current with industry innovations and deliver the best solutions for his clients, he regularly visits manufacturer headquarters for McHugh’s telescopic and fixed seating partners.

Michael Potthoff
Director of Casework & Locker Silo, Sales & Project Management
Michael Potthoff brings a strong background in commercial construction to his role at McHugh. He leads the Casework, Millwork, Locker, and Storage Systems team and oversees projects from initial concept through final completion. His work spans from the educational world to healthcare, as well as the multi-family housing markets.
In this role, Michael directs all sales, production coordination, and project management efforts for this product group, ensuring seamless execution and high-quality results. His ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail has made him a trusted partner to both clients and internal teams.
Michael’s enthusiasm for sales and determination in project management make him a valued member of the McHugh team and a respected resource for customers. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Joseph’s College.
Joanne Skinner
Sales / Project Coordinator
With over 20 years of experience in the industry, Joanne brings extensive knowledge of library and loose (classroom and office) furniture, as well as dormitory furnishings across state and national contracts. She oversees these projects from start to finish and ensures they are assigned to the appropriate McHugh team members.
As Sales Coordinator, Joanne also manages company marketing and sales initiatives and supports daily office administration. Her industry expertise, attention to detail, and commitment to customer satisfaction have earned her many repeat clients who value her dedication to completing every project successfully.
Timothy Almeida
Sales Representative – MD, DC, VA
Timothy Almeida brings extensive experience in facilities management and construction to McHugh. A former public-school Director of Facilities, he spent 25 years overseeing the daily operations of K–12 facilities. Tim began his career as an apprentice carpenter at age fourteen and later founded a residential contracting firm at eighteen, which he grew into high-end residential and commercial projects over a 20-year span. He also worked as a journeyman carpenter specializing in casework and architectural millwork installation.
At McHugh, Tim focuses on business development across Maryland, Washington, D.C., and Virginia, while also strengthening relationships with school administrators on Long Island and in Westchester. His expertise, hands-on experience, and deep industry knowledge make him a valued member of the team.
Kim Coffey
Estimating / Production Coordinator
Kim Coffey joined McHugh Furnishings in 2018, bringing over 25 years of experience in residential and commercial design and construction. She holds an Architectural degree from the New York Institute of Technology.
Kim efficiently manages multiple projects from concept through completion, overseeing estimating, project management, scheduling, shop drawing review, and field coordination. She is responsible for all production details within the Casework, Millwork, and Locker team, ensuring each project is executed accurately and in alignment with plans and specifications.
Her architectural background and strong attention to detail are highly valued by both the McHugh team and its clients, contributing to the successful, on-time completion of complex casework and millwork projects.
Maureen Scott
Project Accounting
Maureen Scott has been a key member of the McHugh team for over 20 years. She manages contracts, insurance, subcontracts, change orders, accounts payable and receivable, and oversees the profitability of each project throughout all phases of performance.
With an extensive background in construction accounting prior to joining McHugh, Maureen brings exceptional attention to detail and financial oversight to every project. Her expertise ensures accuracy, efficiency, and contributes directly to the company’s continued success.
Robert Brooks
Field Supervisor / Project Manager
Robert Brooks is a skilled carpenter with over 35 years of experience in all types of construction. He serves as McHugh’s “eyes and ears” on every project, overseeing deliveries and installations to ensure smooth, successful execution.
Affiliated with McHugh for more than 12 years, Robert brings deep industry knowledge and hands-on problem-solving to every job. He holds an OSHA 30 card and a 62-hour Site Supervisor Certificate. Known for rolling up his sleeves and tackling any challenge, Robert ensures that no task—big or small—is left unfinished. Clients and colleagues alike value his dedication, reliability, and commitment to delivering projects on time and to the highest standards.
John Waiser
Loose Furniture and New Business Development
John Waiser joined McHugh in 2021, bringing 30 years of contract furniture experience. Over the past two decades, he has focused on serving educational and institutional clients using public contracts.
At McHugh, John leverages his expertise in the education and institutional markets to drive new business across all company divisions. He also leads the sales efforts for McHugh’s educational loose furniture opportunities, ensuring clients receive knowledgeable guidance and solutions tailored to their needs.
Bryan Yutan
Assistant Project Manager -Estimator
Bryan Yutan joined McHugh in 2022, bringing eight years of experience in construction estimating, including work with a stone and tile company. He works closely with the Loose Furniture Team, led by Joanne Skinner and John Waiser, applying his attention to detail and expertise with tools like Bluebeam and 2020 Giza.
Bryan’s enthusiasm for learning and commitment to mastering the loose furniture market makes him a valuable addition to the McHugh team.
Paige DeMaria
Marketing Coordinator
Paige DeMaria began her journey with McHugh as an intern in 2023 while attending Molloy University and quickly transitioned to a full-time role after graduation. She manages marketing operations, creating engaging campaigns that promote McHugh’s products and commitment to quality.
Paige brings fresh ideas and innovative approaches to every project, earning positive feedback from colleagues and clients alike. Passionate about marketing and staying ahead of industry trends, she continues to enhance McHugh’s brand presence and customer engagement.
Maggie Minehan
Project Accounting
Maggie Minehan joined McHugh to support the Project Accounting Department. She has over ten years of project support experience across both public and private sectors, along with a bachelor’s degree from the State University of New York at Albany.
Maggie’s enthusiastic attitude, strong work ethic, and attention to detail make her a valuable member of the McHugh team.
Fred Koelbel
Educational Consultant
Fred Koelbel joins McHugh Furnishings after a distinguished 26-year career as a Director of Facilities in New York State public schools. During that time, he also served as President of the New York State School Facilities Association, Executive Director of the School Facilities Management Institute—the training arm of NYSSFA—and as State Director representing the Suffolk County Chapter.
Before his work in P–12 education, Fred was a Project Manager for a design firm, overseeing the design and construction of office buildings, shopping centers, and high-end residential projects. His extensive experience in both construction and educational facilities makes him a trusted resource and consultant for McHugh’s clients.
Chris Berry
Sales/Project Management – PFE/Division of McHugh Furnishings
Chris Berry began his journey with Professional Furnishings & Equipment (PFE) in 1996 as an installer and transitioned into sales and installation in 1998. With 30 years of experience in the furniture industry, he brings deep expertise in both the technical and creative aspects of furniture design and installation. Following McHugh’s acquisition of PFE, Chris demonstrated his ability to manage projects from start to finish and maintain strong architectural relationships. He now manages all sales in the upstate Albany area.
Chris is recognized for his exceptional installations and his talent for connecting with clients, understanding their unique needs, and ensuring every project is customized to perfection. His dedication and enthusiasm have established him as a trusted authority in the industry. Outside of work, Chris enjoys hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, and four-wheeling.
Vincenzo Matranga
Project Manager/Estimator
Vincenzo joined McHugh Furnishings as an intern right after graduating from Farmingdale State College in June of 2025 with a degree in Construction Management. Vincenzo is now a full-time Estimator / Project Management team member on the Casework, Millwork, and Locker division. He supports the team with his estimating and project coordination skills, assisting with pricing, documentation, and team collaboration to ensure accurate bids and project execution is smooth. He looks forward to further developing his skills and contributing to the team’s success at McHugh.

Steve White began his career in sales in 2002 and has built extensive experience within the furniture industry, with a strong focus on supporting his customers. Gregg Stalker, the Owner of Professional Furnishings & Equipment, represents the next generation of a family legacy deeply rooted in the institutional furnishings industry. Raised around the business from an early age, Gregg developed a strong understanding of institutional equipment, project coordination, and client relationships through decades of hands-on industry experience.
