Here at McHugh Furnishings, we take pride in combining a rich heritage of excellence in service with furnishing superior products. We are able to offer a full spectrum of professional expertise, from planning and specification formulation through the delivery and installation of specialty furnishings.

A Storied History

The company was founded by Joseph P. McHugh in 1878. He was succeeded by his son, James S. McHugh, in 1926, hence the subsequent name change to J.S. McHugh. In 1943, a McHugh salesman named William (Bill) Francis Mulhall was asked if he wanted to purchase the company from the McHugh family.

From then on, Bill Mulhall honored the McHugh family tradition by successfully leading the business for over 50 years. Through his hard work, McHugh quickly established itself as the leading choice for high-quality furnishings. In 1993, Jeffrey Mulhall, Bill's son, moved to New York and succeeded his father in continuing the McHugh tradition as the fourth owner since McHugh's 1878 inception.
